THE CHALLENGE
Organizations are deploying Artificial Intelligence (AI) faster than they can responsibly manage it.
AI offers significant opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve operations. It also brings with it a host of security risks not previously envisioned. AI is being used in your organization by employees and vendors whether you have approved it or not. In fact, a recent Kiteworks study found that 70% of the public sector workforce are utilizing AI tools without their managers knowing it, potentially exposing personally identifiable information, sensitive records, and confidential data. Employees at organizations with approved AI tools, often use shadow tools they may not be aware of. The National League of Cities has found that 97% of all AI incidents were linked to a lack of proper data access management and oversight – creating a policy and governance failure, not a technology failure
OUR APPROACH
TSG offers a structured path to responsible AI usage. Our four pillar approach begins with a current state assessment of your enterprise AI posture; captures a snapshot of existing AI usage and potential risks; builds a comprehensive AI governance framework; and focuses on continuous improvement. We can also suggest tools to help you track usage and protect your organization from inadvertent security breaches.
PILLAR I: AI GOVERNANCE CURRENT STATE ASSESSMENT
TSG reviews your existing AI policies, governance structures, and operational controls against federal and state standards to identify where your usage is good, where gaps exist, and how you solidify.
PILLAR 2: AI USAGE DISCOVERY AND RISK ASSESSMENT
TSG inventories approved, shadow, and vendor AI usage across your enterprise, assesses the risks and compliance exposure that usage creates, and maps where your current posture requires remediation.
PILLAR 3: AI POLICY AND GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORK
TSG will guide the process to develop, document, and operationalize your AI policy framework - including the processes and tools needed to govern compliance.
PILLAR 4: ONGOING AI USAGE HEALTH CHECKS
TSG will conduct quarterly assessments of AI usage to measure compliance with established policies and regulations, and keep your leadership current on material changes in the AI landscape.
